Jodie on the obstacle course

Jodie took up the challenge of trying a different way of using her energy and large gross motor skills today.
Here we see Jodie confidently navigate her way across the equipment....childhood is a time to learn how to adjust to change and take suitable risks.  Risk-taking in a safe environment allows the child to develop fundamental movement skills, and build feelings of personal confidence, cometence and independence.  'Challenges' are not limited to kindergarten...obstacle courses are great fun at home too and a fantastic activity for developing confidence!

Oliver's S words

Oliver has been watching the other children make alphabet posters.  Today he wanted to make his own poster of S words...he was able to draw on his wide vocabulary of words and his ability to process clues provided by educators to achieve more and be successful.  Isn't he clever!

Mischa - counting puzzle

Mischa was keen to show me how she can do the clock puzzle..."I can do it by myself" said Mischa.

Mischa I am so impressed...what great skill you show using the counting system and reading mathematical symbols.  You are awesome!  I wonder...can you count even higher?
