Jodie took up the challenge of trying a different way of using her energy and large gross motor skills today.
Here we see Jodie confidently navigate her way across the equipment....childhood is a time to learn how to adjust to change and take suitable risks. Risk-taking in a safe environment allows the child to develop fundamental movement skills, and build feelings of personal confidence, cometence and independence. 'Challenges' are not limited to kindergarten...obstacle courses are great fun at home too and a fantastic activity for developing confidence!
Wow it's so great to see Jodie tackling tricky things with confidence and enthusiasm :-)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so neat Craig and Bec, Jodie is doing so well...and all this 'physical stuff' we do is setting her up nicely for school. Cool ah?
