Developing Friendship Skills

Friendships

Through friendships, children learn social skills such as co-operation,
sharing and conflict management.

Friendships foster a child’s sense of group belonging and give opportunities for children to develop their empathy skills—their abilities to understand different perspectives.

  1. What fabulous acting skills these children have. Hollywood here we come!

The children made this movie to practice their skills and show everyone what they are learning.
They are learning positive ways to join others in their games and play...very important social skills!

Great team work kids...what stars you are. I love the way you all use your big voices to say "Can I play too" and then wait for a reply. Well done.

  2. Jodie has already practiced this at home with her mum and dad. It was great to hear her new social skills in action. It was also great to hear her new complimenting skills!
